| James Dunlop immigrated from Berwick-Upon-Tweed and founded the company in 1907. The company started in the bustling port of Dunedin - which was then the commercial & trading hub of New Zealand. In later years the offices were moved to Christchurch & Auckland. James Dunlop today, is still operated by 4th generation family members and has showrooms in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
